Appalachian Revival

About

In 1950s New York City, Judy Lot is a confident, motivated, highly educated young woman. In 1950s West Virginia, she is a fish out of water. Determined to open a bookstore in a coal town and teach the residents the importance of “book learning,” she quickly realizes she may be up against far more than her Barnard education taught her.

As Judy digs her polished heals in and stands behind her opinions, can the gap between her mission and the needs of a coal town in the heart of Appalachia be bridged?
